In my role as an English language teacher, I employ a unique teaching strategy centered around personal narrative revision and discussion, which I refer to as my signature pedagogy. This approach effectively encompasses all aspects of language learning, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking, by integrating personal stories into classroom activities. A significant portion of my class time is dedicated to revising previous lessons to reinforce knowledge and create a cohesive learning experience. Additionally, I encourage students to share their own narratives, fostering engagement and enhancing their language skills. Through these methods, students develop critical thinking, questioning, and active listening abilities. My signature pedagogy proves beneficial in both grammar instruction and the teaching of long texts, making the learning process more engaging and comprehensive. Regular revision and personal narratives serve as low-cost yet effective teaching materials, contributing to a dynamic and enjoyable language learning environment.
